I have to admit that there is some praise to be given here. Whether this is appealing to the general market, it's always a pleasure to see companies come up with innovative ideas.
This is one of those laptops that everyone would want but not many would actually need haha
ASUS consistently releasing great products
Have the Pro Duo 15 and typing from it right now. Changed completely the way I work, produce, and create. Cannot go back to a normal laptop any more.
I was cynical at first, because we've seen attempts to re-invent the wheel (laptop) before that never took off, but Lew summarises this perfectly: some people will find a lot of use out of this format, but it does look like investment of time to do so.
I've always liked this laptop and the foldable ones as well. Gonna wait for more specs and pricing but I do love that it's a 14" laptop.
Another amazing Asus laptop. As with the recent 14X OLED Space Edition and past models like the Duo 14 w/32GB, it seems availability is always an issue with the best Asus products. Does anyone know the release date on this one and what online shop to buy from early on?
Love my ux-582, which is the last gen, and it's by far the best laptop I've ever used.
That live stream was a train wreck , and soo funny. Luckily you've got a release the way it should be. They owe you Lew
Love watching your reviews and unboxing, so entertaining for me
Ik this laptop so freaking dope as hell!! 🔥🔥
they need to release a 17" model of this amazing laptop, wow
Without even watching the whole video yet, that has to be the best MMO laptop made. A second built in screen for all your mmo insiders website and THmy while gaming on the main screen. 👍
After many years a hp customer, I bought a duo zen book. I’m not a creator but that display is incredibly handy for dual screen office tasks. It also means I don’t have to carry my spare monitor around for the vast majority of tasks. It’s a winner design.
Love it. If they do the same upgrade on the ROG zephyrus duo 16, I mean 2.5 or 4K OLED display 120hz 500 nits it would be great !
I actually did test the old one for two weeks last spring, but the form factor was just a little bit too much to get used to. But most of all the lower screen is just not visible enough. I wish there were some adjustment similar to old LCD:s where you could move the "center spot" where the visibility is best. I'm pretty sure that we could see a staircase-formed substrate for the OLED sometime in the future, but until then...not for me.
As a tip to Asus zenbook dou owners, if you want both screens to share the a consistent wallpaper instead of two identical wallpapers with the second display having a squished wallpaper, choose the wallpaper you want in settings and change it from fit to screen to “span” in the options below your wallpaper. This option will expand the one wallpaper across both the displays and look better in my opinion.
Dual screen is very useful to keep menu away from the main screen. It was a great feature since nds 😂
I have the first generation and I freaking LOVE it :) it’s not the fastest but great for casual usage…
My two cents: Been using my Zenbook Duo UX481 (the smaller model without the raised screen, lower specs etc.) for about 1.5 months now and it's been mostly pretty good. The tools and functions on the 2nd display seem to get jankier with each windows update and I often get bugs with it that require turning the second display off and on again. not unusable just a little annoying. It was great when I was studying, was using it for 3D modelling, Sculpting, and Photoshop mainly. Now I work from home and use my desktop for work the second screen sees very little use when I'm just using it for internet browsing. I wish the second display were brighter or popped up like the model in thjs video as there's just too much glare unless you prop it up. Also the finish is a total scratch and finger print magnet
